52 Cranbrook water valve

Had a leak from my water valve this fall, by-passed it, now I have it out and apart. Does anyone have a source for the seal?

I have read that this kit will fit, at least the valve on my 51 Cambridge

Sniper, I have seen that kit before, but now that the seal is out the specs are: diameter=1.100", thickness=.135", hole diameter=.150".

I am gong to toss out what I did on my 52. I got a kit form NAPA and disassembled the valve to fix it. Never got it to work again. Having it rebuilt was about $150. I found that a company makes new ranco style valves for 57 Chevies. I looked at the catalog and thought, why not. Cost about $80 and had to modify my firewall a bit but  it works fine.

Just found the seal on Napa #BK6601000 $9.99 will pick it up Mon. and give it a try. Better than $450 for one on ebay!!!!!

Says it fits a Ranco H16 valve, which looks nothing like the one in my 51.  Which explains why the kit I linked was not the one you needed.

Sniper, thanks again for the info. My local Napa shows the seal in stock, I will go tomorrow to verify.

Installed the seal yesterday, will see what happens this spring when it comes out of hibernation.
