B3, B4?

Recommended Posts

Easiest way I know is to look at the rear fenders.  The flat surfaced round ones are 3's and earlier, the long rectangular ones or 4's and were used for quite a few  years since then.

There are some other differences as well. Different badge on the dash for one.

Also the rear fenders may not be a 100% identifier as I am pretty certain the cycle style fenders were still standard on the express models.

On the subject of wiring ........ there shouldn't be any real significant difference between the 2 years. Accessory items like heater fans and turn signals probably have much more effect on it than a years difference.
