Hi everyone,

We purchased a 1951 Dodge B3B last week and are in need of some parts for it. Will anyone please give me some tips on where to find parts? I've "googled" it till my eyes bled, it is very hard to find parts. I need the "Job Rated" grill and original headlights for now. Please help me!

There are a number of parts places that specialize in classic Dodges, but I find most of the parts I need on EBay. In fact, I found my 1952 B3B on EBay.

A couple of the parts places to get you started: Andy Bernbaum/oldmoparts.com, DCMClassics.com, rock auto.

There is also a part of this website dedicated to finding/selling parts.

Welcome to a fantastic site.

depending on what you are looking for (below are my first stops):

https://www.vintagepowerwagons.com/online-parts-catalog

https://dcmclassics.com/

https://www.robertsmotorparts.com/

https://www.oldmoparts.com/

https://www.midwestmilitary.com/   <----ONLY source of correct bedstrips for these trucks, others are Ford or Chevy parts.

Bear in mind some of the stuff you might be in search of is NOT re-popped and you will have to search the hard way:  Epay or the Classifieds on this or other web based forums.  Facebook has a few groups as well that people trade parts on.

If you are looking for the original style bullseye headlights, those you have to find the hard way.  Grill badges the same deal.

Welcome!  Post pics!

You could also attend car swap meets in your area. Ask vendors who are carrying old car and truck parts if they know of anyone that has your model and possible parts. You will start to make local contacts who might know someone who has what you are looking for.

The original bulls eye headlights can be found as burnt out used units on ebay and then converted to modern plug in bulbs. There is a thread in the tech forum and a couple pics in my 55 C1B build thread.

dcmclassics.com is one of my favorite sites for parts for my 51 B3B

Dodge truck parts are not as plentiful as for the same vintage Ford or Chevy.  Sometimes you may need a donor vehicle for specific body parts.   A lot depends on whether you are trying to do a proper restoration, a functional restoration,  or  restor-mod.  I went for a functional restoration so I have used 1950 taillight brackets to have two tail lights,  LED turn signal lights from 32 Ford A, 1950 Dodge wheel covers.

But I am still 6V positive ground , flathead six with a 4 speed

Yeah, I’ll need to see some photos before I can contribute any top secret information. ?

In addition to the above listed web based sites, I've found success just mentioning it at local car shows; seems there is always someone who knows someone that can connect you w/someone who has what you need. The only condition is that you've got to be very patient. I mean, really patient. Best of luck, and as others have said, would like to see pictures. ?
