Doug&Deb Posted September 21, 2019 Report Posted September 21, 2019 My 52 Coronet has a script on the drivers front fender that has Coronet on top and gyromatic below. The passenger side says fluid drive below. Is this correct? I had one of these in high school but that was a long time ago. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted September 21, 2019 Report Posted September 21, 2019 I think your fender or script has been replaced... both sides should say Coronet GYRO-Matic GYRO-MATIC being under the Coronet I think it was a bronze colored nameplate. Quote
Doug&Deb Posted September 22, 2019 Author Report Posted September 22, 2019 Thanks, that’s what I thought. Hard to say why it was changed. Quote
plymouthcranbrook Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 My 52 Cranbrook has Cambridge script on both front fenders. Maybe someone got them cheap(in good condition) or just didn't know the difference. Quote
RobertKB Posted September 23, 2019 Report Posted September 23, 2019 (edited) Here's a fender script you will only find in Canada or on export models.…………...KINGSWAY. 1951 Dodge D39 business coupe. The Canadian Dodge is really a Plymouth but with Dodge trim unique to the Canadian model. The American Dodge was a bigger car and none of the trim is interchangeable. BobT-47P15 Posted September 24, 2019 Report Posted September 24, 2019 Robert, what I can see of the coupe in this picture looks good. Is it done now? Quote

Yes, Bob, it is. Seven years start to finish. Powertrain is stock. Engine full rebuild. Colour is pretty close to an original Mopar colour. Interior done to my tastes as I never really liked the old grey striped mohair. It still has a few minor teething problems but I have put close to a 1000 miles on it since finishing.
