Wirtner Posted December 23, 2018 Report Posted December 23, 2018 (edited) I bought this 51 plymouth club coupe recently no motor not trans been fully converted to 12volt for 350 dollars with a title and I'm having a little trouble identifying what it actually is any help is appreciated Edited December 23, 2018 by Wirtner Here is a front end shot Quote
Wirtner Posted December 23, 2018 Author Report Posted December 23, 2018 I'm trying to add another picture but it keeps telling me I'm only allowed to add 3 mb Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted December 23, 2018 Report Posted December 23, 2018 (edited) the fender trim holes per the picture...(it is not a close up) indicate it is 51 or 52.....52 was at the lowest position at the wheel arch....will need a grille and hood trim shot to ensure which year....GIVEN no one over the years has changed body components..then you have to have the original instrument panel picture and front bumper to discern 51/52 Edited December 23, 2018 by Plymouthy Adams Quote
casper50 Posted December 23, 2018 Report Posted December 23, 2018 you have to do a reply to add more than 3 mb of photo. Just keep adding replies. Quote
Wirtner Posted December 23, 2018 Author Report Posted December 23, 2018 So I am right in assuming a its a 51? Now I just have to narrow down if it was a cambridge or a cranbrook Quote
Wirtner Posted December 23, 2018 Author Report Posted December 23, 2018 And just keep replying until it lets me add the other pictures? Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted December 23, 2018 Report Posted December 23, 2018 what hood trim do you have with the car...show that picture...….will spill the bean on the year...your instrument is a bit modified....what I can see of the trunk handle laying in the back I would also suspect a 51...but other trim on hood and decklid will better tell the story.....again...show these if you can.....your can is apart to the point it is hard to discern. JerseyHarold Posted December 24, 2018 Report Posted December 24, 2018 The horn button and rubber gasket all the way around the windshield makes it a Cambridge. The Mayflower emblem above the ash tray makes it a '51. The sure-fire way to pin it down is by the Vehicle Number located near the hinge on the driver's door post. Quote
kencombs Posted December 24, 2018 Report Posted December 24, 2018 What does the title say? And does the ID on the title match the car? Or, was the state that issued it one of those that used the missing engine number? Quote
