rodguyvic Posted September 15, 2018 Report Posted September 15, 2018 Looking for a part # for 51 Plymouth pinion seal. Any help??? THANKS IN ADVANCE Quote
sser2 Posted September 15, 2018 Report Posted September 15, 2018 (edited) Mopar or NORS seals appear regularly on ebay, but much better option is a modern seal, SKF18880. 10 bucks on Rock Auto. Mopar part ## 663062 or 1271104. Edited September 15, 2018 by sser2 add information Quote
Dartgame Posted September 17, 2018 Report Posted September 17, 2018 You might need a speedy sleeve to repair the yoke. Look for a deep wear groove. The old leather seals we really tough on sealing surfaces and would wear a nice groove in them... Quote
48ply1stcar Posted September 17, 2018 Report Posted September 17, 2018 I haven't installed it yet, but I bought mine at Andy Bernbaum. Quote
jgreg53 Posted January 26, 2019 Report Posted January 26, 2019 I can't get the seal from AB to start. it's really hard laying under the car. Quote
DJ194950 Posted January 26, 2019 Report Posted January 26, 2019 For Speede-Sleeves I used One of the following two on the rear end pinion seal to eliminate the groove on the input flange. Sorry I did not keep track which one of these two that was used where but get someone to measure the outside diameter of yours. Also measure where your new seal rides and make sure you put the sleeve centered on that depth. I bought these after a web search using the posted #'s and I think I got them off Amazon! Cheapest place for the brand works for me! DJ Wear sleeves, SKF Speedi-Sleeve - 99156.html Wear sleeves, SKF Speedi-Sleeve - 99187.html Quote
