David Mac Posted September 2, 2018 Report Posted September 2, 2018 I have searched the site for any info on clutch fork return spring. mine is broke and I need to replace it. does anyone have one they would like to part with or know of an aftermarket spring that I can use. Thanks & Regards David Quote
Don Coatney Posted September 2, 2018 Report Posted September 2, 2018 Nothing magical about the spring. Any hardware store should have one that will work. Quote

The Dr is right... I also noticed a new assortment in the Help section. I am thinking of taking a closer look to see if the springs are made in the correct gage... They may have been carburetor springs also. If it's fruitful, I will let you know with a part #... . Quote
vintage6t Posted September 4, 2018 Report Posted September 4, 2018 Agree you should be able to find one off the shelf at the auto parts store. If not, my local True Value hardware store has a good selection of springs, so you might try one of those stores as well. 1 Quote
John Norlien Posted September 4, 2018 Report Posted September 4, 2018 I might also suggest sources like McMaster -Carr Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 4, 2018 Report Posted September 4, 2018 sometimes at a wrecking yard one can find a seat positioning lever return spring that would be appropriate for this application.. Quote
Flatie46 Posted September 4, 2018 Report Posted September 4, 2018 Mine was intact when I was working on this area of the car but it was almost worn in two. I took it to NAPA that had a shadow board their that matched up common springs. I guess I should have posted my info or made note but I didn't. Anyway hope this helps. Quote
