johnsartain Posted November 25, 2017 Report Posted November 25, 2017 The pad, is not the same as what goes between the cab and frame. it can be a rubber pad or rubberized fabric pad. Either is about an eighth of an inch thick. I know someone who substituted a piece of conveyor belt but be careful on what you substitute because the running boards must align with the holes in the rear fender and at the same time maintain a consistent gap between the bottom of the door and door jamb to the running board. There is a little room to fudge but not much. Quote

WarriorDog Posted November 26, 2017 Report Posted November 26, 2017 I was thinking of cutting up some of the old Radiator hoses to make the pads. Has anyone tried this idea? Conveyor belting is an idea also. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted November 26, 2017 Report Posted November 26, 2017 the assembly material is anti-squeak and is sold in various widths, thicknesses and such...you may call Restoration Specialties as they list this stuff in their catalog...their catalog is also online. Quote

FlashBuddy Posted November 27, 2017 Report Posted November 27, 2017 Post ware flotsam and jetsam, other than these trucks are gas masks. A great source for thin rubber to be repurposed for all kinds of tasks. Quote
