Kevin Posted October 19, 2017 Report Posted October 19, 2017 (edited) 1 am new to this forum ,and have a question. I am restoring my 1950 Dodge truck B-2-C and I noticed the slip yolk has along of play on the drive shaft spline . It is 5 1/2" center to end long . The driveshaft has 16 splines and is 1 1/4" in dia. Does anyone know where I can purchase a new one ? Thanks. Edited October 19, 2017 by Kevin Misspelled word Quote
VanDodge1952 Posted October 20, 2017 Report Posted October 20, 2017 Hi Kevin, I'm a newbie also. Try DCM Classics in Zeeland, Michigan. If they don't have your parts they might be able to steer you in the right direction. I'm trying to get a 52 B3C to start. Getting frustrated. Quote
Kevin Posted October 28, 2017 Author Report Posted October 28, 2017 I have purchased other parts from them . There site does not have driveshaft yolks listed neither did Roberts motor parts, Which is another good source for old dodge parts. Thanks for the reply! Quote
lonejacklarry Posted October 28, 2017 Report Posted October 28, 2017 I would try Wildcat Auto Wrecking in Sandy, OR. 503-668-7786 Quote
Kevin Posted October 30, 2017 Author Report Posted October 30, 2017 Thanks, i will give them a call. Quote
tanda62 Posted October 30, 2017 Report Posted October 30, 2017 Your might try Andy Bernbaum (oldmoparts.com), they don't have one specifically listed but you could ask. Quote

Jerry Roberts Posted October 30, 2017 Report Posted October 30, 2017 Kevin , does your slip joint look like the one in Franks photo ? The reason I ask is that I have one that is different that is available but it would require a lot of digging to get at . Quote
Kevin Posted November 2, 2017 Author Report Posted November 2, 2017 No, here is a photo of what I have . Someone has modified the end by inserting a splined insert and spotwelding it to the end. It has the Cleveland universals. It measures 2 1/4" inside the yolk width and is approx 5 1/2" center to end with 1 1/8"dia. Universal cap size. Quote
Jerry Roberts Posted November 2, 2017 Report Posted November 2, 2017 Kevin , Ok , I will dig out the one that I have buried in the garage tomorrow . I think that it came from a pilot House truck , possibly a 3/4 ton . Quote
Jerry Roberts Posted November 2, 2017 Report Posted November 2, 2017 Kevin , This part is 7 " long . The bearing caps are 1 1/4 " diameter , measured across the bearing caps = 3 1/8 " , 16 splines . Quote
Kevin Posted November 24, 2017 Author Report Posted November 24, 2017 Jerry I appreciate your effort to find one for me,but I have already purchased Cleveland universals for the driveshaft and have installed them on the rear . so I need the yolk that is like my photo which has tapped holes for the cap retainers. Dodgeb4ya Posted November 24, 2017 Report Posted November 24, 2017 (edited) Maybe it's like this? Dis-regard Edited November 24, 2017 by Dodgeb4ya Quote
pwrwgn Posted November 26, 2017 Report Posted November 26, 2017 Yokes are tough to find, and what you do find is likely worn. Mine on my 51 B3C has a bit of play too. Worse case scenario, a good driveshaft shop can make you up something new that will work, but of course you no longer have a original parts. Quote
Kevin Posted November 29, 2017 Author Report Posted November 29, 2017 Thanks for the input. I am going to use this yolk with the new universals and run it in gear up on Jack stands to see how it acts ,then I will decide if I need to replace it. Quote
