  1. Just installed a Red Crown Gasoline light in our carport to go with the truck. I am pretty happy with the results.
  2. It replaces the original setup completely. This particular WIX filter is designed for a bypass system like the one in our trucks so no flow issues.
  3. I second the NiCopp idea. Used it on my 53 for the brakes and fuel lines. One word of caution, if you are too aggressive while bending it will kink so go slow and bend little by little until you get the desired result.
  4. Welcome, Great looking truck and you caught the light just right! Tom
  5. Here is what I did on my 53 B4C that eliminated the spacer. Works great and one less place to worry about leaking.
  6. Nice looking truck! There is something charming about stepping back in time while driving our trucks.
  7. Thanks everyone for the replies and it is as I suspected, a difficult find. I have been checking on ebay for several years now and have never seen any wheels for the 3/4 tons show up - maybe some will in the future. I did find this wheel (https://www.wheelvintiques.com/catalog/product/view/id/9776/s/15x6-o-e-5-5bp-bare-3-3-4-quot-b-s/category/1175/) which has possibilities but they don't list the offset or the center bore. I have asked the question but no reply as of today. If I find something that works I will post it here for everyone's information. Tom
  8. I am looking for some wheels for my 1953 B4C 3/4 ton truck. The stock wheels are 15 inch diameter, 5.5 inch wide, bolt pattern is 5x5, -1 offset and center-bore 3.75 inches. Has anyone found a source for these stock wheels? Has anyone found a replacement wheel with these specs? I have searched the forum and come up empty from previous threads. Thanks for any help! Tom
  9. I have been using this WIX filter 51050 for several years now. It is by-pass only and seems to do a great job.
  10. The ones I got from DCM did not come with an origin label but have been going strong for over 2 years now. Thanks John here it is in all its glory and hope you find some more shackles!
  11. For a 53 B4C you are correct. If you zoom in the pictures you will see both the front and rear and they are the same. I got new ones from DCM but I just checked and they are currently out of stock, I am sure other vendors carry these maybe Roberts? Also note the drivers side is left hand thread while passenger is right hand thread, just like the wheel lug nuts. Hope this helps, Tom
  12. Got mine from DCM and worked just fine. https://dcmclassics.com/dust-and-air-seals/225-rw-107-door-window-channel.html
  13. I used brush on POR 15 for the frame and axles and used spray Rustoleum for the other parts, backing plates, tie rods and such. I second the idea of strictly following the directions for application - the prep work makes all the difference in the end product.
  14. Welcome, Try running your serial number (VIN) for the truck here and see what you get. https://www.townwagon.com/4853registry/index.php
  15. That second transmission looks at lot like mine with the same case number 088221. A New Process 420, the same used in M37 military applications and it is a four speed. Maybe this website can help: http://www.jobrated.com/tranmission-id.html
  16. Finally got to the old Gulf station in Quincy, FL just up the road from where I live and took some pictures. It is not a working station but is set up with all kinds of memorabilia and from the street sure looks like it operates.
  17. Nice looking and the color is great! ?
  18. That is interesting. Makes me wonder if my tailgate has been replaced at some point and is not the original.
  19. That is a sharp looking bed! I am also jealous of that tailgate with the raised lettering - mine doesn't have that option it is just plain.
