TylerB46 Posted October 9, 2017 Report Share Posted October 9, 2017 Hi, I have a 46 WC 1/2 pickup that used to belong to my great grandpa. The truck has been sitting in a garage since the late 70's so it needs a bit of attention before it can hit the road again, while I'm trying to keep the truck as stock looking as I can, it doesn't have the original engine, instead it has another straight six from a 53 dodge car I believe. So just for fun and a little bit of extra power I'm considering adding a different intake so that I could run 3 single barrel carbs instead of just the one. So what my question is, is do any of you know around how much torque and horsepower the original 3 speed manual can handle? He's a member here, on the car side. http://www.manifoldsbymoose.com/home/chrysler I don't believe you could make enough power with your flattie 6 to damage the trans or axle. Go for it.
