Watash Posted August 7, 2017 Report Share Posted August 7, 2017 Just purchased a new gas pedal for my 52 Dodge Truck and it will not stay attached at the bottom two pins. dpollo Posted August 9, 2017 Report Share Posted August 9, 2017 WD 40 really helps and if you lock the shaft that goes through the floor with a vice grip it makes it a whole lot easier to install the pedal. Grease may break down the rubber too. I also like liquid soap as a lubricant for things like that. Usually use Go-Jo, or similar, as that's what's handy in my garage.
