David Maxwell Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 ...$30,000!!!! Whoa! Is there something here I don't see? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=016&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=260142859634&rd=1 Quote
Guest jtw3749c Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Foolish people in a bidding war and to fat of pockets. Sorry, way to much. Hope they like it and feel good about what they paid. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 It does look like a pretty nice resto.....suppose they could sink a fair amount if they did a body-off, every nut-and-bolt job on it. Sounds high to me even at that.....but who knows. What do other pickups about that nice sell for? Quote
PatS.... Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 I wonder if it could be done again for $30g's Sure is nice. Unlike most eBay "restorations", this one actually IS restored. Quote
Young Ed Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 I've never seen these trucks bring that much. There was one at barret jackson or another big auction about 2 years ago that only brought 21. Makes you wonder if someone actually paid for it. Quote
Reg Evans Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 I guess the buyer really liked the $10,000 home made wooden running boards and door panels. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 agian, the very lose use of the word Restoration... Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 I didn't check out the listing. However, if the buyer doesn't mind paying that much for it, why should I care. It's like how much do you want to spend on your own car or truck to restore it. What is too much? That's a different figure for the same car or truck for each individual. So, the selling price of each vehicle is also up to the individual. Who knows, it may not be that the buyer wants to just buy a neat looking truck or car. It may be that he's buying it because it brings back good memories of great times. For that, there is no maximum price as long as he/she has the money to pay for it. Or, the second reason. Buyer says, "Hey, I got money and I'm going to flaunt it!" Either way, as long as the buyer is happy, that's all that counts. Price he paid has nothing to do with it. Lets face it guys. You do the same when you can afford it. Quote
