tom'sB2B Posted June 18, 2017 Report Posted June 18, 2017 I picked up a set of 15" rims today. Wondering if anyone has a recommendation on a radial tire that they are happy with. Quote
greg g Posted June 18, 2017 Report Posted June 18, 2017 On my Studebaker pu, I am running 215 75 15 on the fronts and 235 75 15 on the rear. Truck origianaly had 195 85 16 HD truck tires on it. I got them from pep boys. I run them at 34psi on the front and 32 rear. Rides pretty good for straight axle and leaf springs. Tracks straight, steers heavy at slow speeds. Engine and trans weigh about 725 # pretty close to the Dodge I believe. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted June 18, 2017 Report Posted June 18, 2017 15 inch stock of the same era OR what is the width of these rims if newer and is there any offset? this will often dictate the max/min diameter of your tire choices....the aspect ratio if you are down sizing from 16's will need to go up in aspect to help maintain correct tire diameter.....suggest going online armed with the specs of your original wheel and do the plug and play size/aspect into the formula for best overall match to original if this is what you are trying to maintain stock appearance and speedometer correct readout..
