greg g Posted July 27, 2007 Report Posted July 27, 2007 Under the guise of an e style greeting card, viruses are being emailed under normal looking Bluemountain, Hallmark, and other legitimate looking hosts. However unlike a normal card they don;t say who it from using pal, mate, friend . buddy instead/ Just delete em without opening. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted July 27, 2007 Report Posted July 27, 2007 Yes, I noticed a few of those that got caught by my Spam filter. It seemed strange that "Friend" or "Pal" had sent them. No real names. The links didn't look right either. I just cleared them out with the rest of the spam. Quote
Brad Lustig Posted July 27, 2007 Report Posted July 27, 2007 I started getting these about a month ago. Luckily, they were all coming through my real estate address which I've since closed down. That was the absolute worst email address for spam. I would get about 200 spams a day plus all of my work emails. Good riddance! Quote
Don Coatney Posted July 27, 2007 Report Posted July 27, 2007 My host spam filter has trapped several of these greeting cards in the past 3-4 weeks. Quote
1just4don Posted July 28, 2007 Report Posted July 28, 2007 been getting them by the boatload. Provider has quarentined 'most' of them. Some get caught by the spam blocker but most by virus blocker.
