I'm sorry...I did not realize you were still in need of the size given you have posted the fact you have found two sources and did not like prices and or shipping...I will give you dimension on the oldest I have here, on a '41 and they are 2 inch wide at the base and stand 2 1/2 inches high.  Sadly most ads on e-bay for fairly priced items including shipping offer only application and not a size to cross reference...you can look there for front suspension rebound bumpers and source the app then compare with a tape....

I, like many others here, more than not get a bit frustrated when dimensions are not given on an ad.  I see that they are selling a direct replacement part but if they truly knew the plight of the rebuilder of the older cars or retrofitting systems...if they were to include the dimension odds are they would increase sales.  But, getting this across to the many retailers is not what one would call a easy proposition.  I have sent a few folks listing products to send dimensions.  Many will not take the time to address this issue even when you take a minute to explain that you wish to retrofit and if it will work would be an added avenue of sales for them should they list the fact it would fit.  So technically in many cases it is be proactive and search and measure or pay the higher price what some assume are the sole source for old car parts..

That's the bad part of buying from Andy.  He had a set $12 minimum for shipping and then it jumps to 10%.  20% for non lower 48 states.  I just bought $800 worth of rubber parts for my coupe.  I had to have them sent to my son as it would cost me $150 to ship 15 lbs of rubber to Alaska.   Their quote on price and weight not mine.

When you are working with a tight budget and your wife looking over your shoulder I have to look wherever I can to save a buck that is why I am doing this rebuild by myself except for the engine which airborne Ed is doing for me and wait until he see's his budget (just kidding) but I appreciate the help from you guy's. Thanks

Gary ,

That's why it usually take years for a rebuild for most people unless they are rich and have it all done by someone else and then say they restored it. I respect people that did it them selves rather than people paying to have it all done  even if it's far from show quality.. Also supply and demand hurts ,buddy

Sorry for getting off track !! .

If you also do any shopping on the great Ebay you will see vendors that have a huge shipping cost even when an items will fit into a USPS if it fits it ships. I have seen small items that have the $12 shipping fee and I know that it will fit in the smallest box for around the $6 fee.  I always question the seller to see if the item can go into the smallest container and use the USPS if it fits it ships.   So also figure the money that Ebay takes as their cut and then the %3 that Paypal takes so this is also why some prices are so high.  But sometimes you just have to pay if you want to play.

Seller fees and PayPal  equal about 15% these days......

As to the size of things, I'll offer this story: I'm looking on ebay for a die (as in threads/bolts) and since I have multiple die holders I am not inclined to buy a die of some size I can't use. So, the die in question is a hex shape and there are several different sizes on various listing so I send a message to a vendor to ask what theirs measures across the flats .....the response was entertaining but not informative since they insisted that the die was 6" x 4" x 1". The listing showed it in a bubble pack.......:P
