Young Ed Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 Not sure what its official name is but that is a 49 plymouth(second series) and 49 and 50 had it. Quote

knuckleharley Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 Cool, that makes sense , Thats why it's not on my 48 Thx You should have a similar piece. It's purpose is to direct air flow to the radiator. Quote
CowboyConnor Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 I believe it is just a cover for the junction block and wires behind it. The block contains your headlight bucket and horn wires and maybe some more Quote

knuckleharley Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 I do not believe the p15s have a similar piece. Mine does. The P-15 radiator sets up closer to the front fender support brace, and doesn't need a piece that large. Quote
Young Ed Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 Mine does. The P-15 radiator sets up closer to the front fender support brace, and doesn't need a piece that large. Here is mine. The whole upper radiator is exposed along with the horns. Quote
knuckleharley Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 Young Ed,I guess mine was a poor example to use. It has a 78 Camaro frame clip and the (stock) radiator even sits lower. I have two other P-15 parts cars, but the coupe has no chassis in front of the firewall, and the sedan has no engine or trans. Quote
rb1949 Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 My '49 Chrysler has the shroud. The center hole has a cover too. Now nice and shiny repaint. Better than looking in the big hole. Quote
