Does anyone know about this cover ?.It covers the front of the raditator and and horns. post-9089-0-03014700-1467397462_thumb.jpgWhat's it called, and what years had it ?

Not sure what its official name is but that is a 49 plymouth(second series) and 49 and 50 had it.

You should have a similar piece. It's purpose is to direct air flow to the radiator.

I believe it is just a cover for the junction block and wires behind it. The block contains your headlight bucket and horn wires and maybe some more

I do not believe the p15s have a similar piece.

Mine does. The P-15 radiator sets up closer to the front fender support brace,and doesn't need a piece that large.

Here is mine. The whole upper radiator is exposed along with the horns.

Young Ed,I guess mine was a poor example to use. It has a 78 Camaro frame clip and the (stock) radiator even sits lower. I have two other P-15 parts cars,but the coupe has no chassis in front of the firewall,and the sedan has no engine or trans.

My '49 Chrysler has the shroud. The center hole has a cover too. Now nice and shiny repaint. Better than looking in the big hole.
