Keith Posted April 1, 2016 Report Posted April 1, 2016 Hello I have just be told that my brake drums are not serviceable (lining to thin, can't turn them). Does anyone know where to find new (or newer) drums. Mine have BUDD-61189 on them. They are 14" drums. Thanks Quote
knuckleharley Posted April 1, 2016 Report Posted April 1, 2016 I'd go to the truck side of the site and ask there. Quote
rb1949 Posted April 1, 2016 Report Posted April 1, 2016 Depending on the expense, would a conversion to disk be feasible? Quote
Keith Posted April 1, 2016 Author Report Posted April 1, 2016 I would like to keep it original. I'll go to the truck site and ask. I am still new to this site. But extremely thankful for all the great info. Quote

Brent B3B Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 Bummer, new or newer not sure. Used, might give wildcat auto wrecking in Oregon a call. Quote
RodFru2u Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 Keith, Might try "Turners Auto Wrecking " in Fresno. HankB3B and I are planing a trip up that way soon for parts. Quote
Jeff Balazs Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 (edited) Welcome neighbor. I am in the Irvine area. Nice to have another Pilothouse nearby. You may want to try placing an ad in the classified section on this site. Other options are trolling Craigslist and Ebay. Unlike some regions we don't really have wrecking yards that would be any help on this. Perhaps someone here has some of these they have salvaged and could check? Replacement parts for some of this stuff can be difficult.....but this site is your best option for answers. Jeff Edited April 2, 2016 by Jeff Balazs Quote
Keith Posted April 2, 2016 Author Report Posted April 2, 2016 Thanks for the info/sources. I checked with Drum Garden in Wilmington (CA). They have some drums that "might" work. Does anyone know if I have to have the BUDD numbers match. Quote
Frank Ollian Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 There are a couple fronts on e-bay now. I think this seller recently parted out a couple one tons, you might check to see if they have rears. Quote
Keith Posted April 3, 2016 Author Report Posted April 3, 2016 Thanks Frank. I found that vendor and have contacted him. Quote
