Running and moving under it's own power with the 318/904/Explorer rear axle conversion. Winter has slowed work on that part so I would like to do some interior work in my basement. The big question is does anyone make replacement seat covers for our cars? Custom made would be kind of pricey. Also considering out right replacement of the seats with something late model from the junk yard. Any thoughts or experience someone would like to share? There is not a lot remaining of the original car, so that's not an issue. It's turning out to be a mix of old and new. I guess I am kind of fishing for ideas. Thanks. You can get the seat covers in a standard kit, a deluxe pleated kit and a deluxe pleated mohair kit from $329 to $419 for front and back. I know you will have quite a wait before receiving them as they are vendors for a manufacturer and have to wait for them to custom sew them. They are still common enough at pick-a-part yards and have built in shoulder harnesses. Of course this requires substantial floor mount reinforcement. Plymouthy Adams Posted December 23, 2015 Report Share Posted December 23, 2015 (edited) the Sebring has the built in harness for sure...to properly use them one must have the pendulum switch assembly...also note that the early models are the more easier to install as the electronics was not advanced as in the later harness activated units..
