DonaldSmith
The cargo floor of my DeSoto Suburban looked rummy. The PO had replaced most of the floor with a fir plywood that was supposed to be "A" veneer, but had a wild grain and football-shaped plugs in the veneer. He had never replace the plywood underside of the jump seat. That would have required removing the upholstery to get at the nuts holding on the hinges and shtainless steel rub strips. For a few years I looked for a plastic laminate with a suitable wood grain, while I contemplated the great difficulty in disassembling the floor and seat. A few weeks ago, I found the pattern, and over the last several days I managed to disassemble the floor and seat, apply the laminate, and re-assemble everything. You should see the photos! OK, I stumbled into MIcrososft Office Picture Manager, and was able to reduce the file size of copies of before and after photos. Lessee... Click on the paper clip, ... Did they upload? Don Coatney
Yes, could we do that please....? In all seriousness, is there a cover of some sort? The Soto burp owned by James Douglas does not have a tire cover.
Plymouthy Adams
I have never seen these cars up close, I would have thought there would have been a cover of some sort, maybe canvas dyed to match the interior or carpet...being high line and with attention to the detail of the wood these cars got..would have thought the tire to be dressed also. Just inquiring...??
