So i was looking through some old paperwork I got when I bought my 51 truck. I was wondering if there is a way to locate where old dealerships were located. I found a written warning from the state police for "Tail lights out" dated 7/7/58.

Looks like the owner took it to Smocks auto company the very next day for repair. The letterhead reads "Dodge Plymouth" so was it a dealership??

Oh and the bill was $1.00 for Lubrication and Light repair got to love those 50's prices.

The guy I bought the truck from still lives in Milan Indiana so I dont think the truck has went very far from the dealership if it was one.

Try calling that phone number and see what happens. :D:P

If you're near that area maybe a visit to Milan will find an answer. Looking at a map of Milan, IN I don't see a Clark St crossing Main St. Maybe a street name was changed at some time, or possibly my Map software doesn't show it. Couldn't find Clark St on Google Maps either. I was going to try a Street View of that intersection to see what's there.

Main Street doesn't show on Google Maps for some reason. It crosses South Main Street. There seems to be a welding and sandblasting (M&K Enterprises) business on one street corner and the Milan Methodist Church on the other.

A sandblaster, welder and a priest on opposite corners were looking at a B3B............
