BobT-47P15 Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 Obviously those pics were taken by a European guy. Not much on the American cars.....and there are several in there. Have seen other similar pictures from that barn not long ago. Would be interesting to know the story. Quote
Brad Lustig Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 Yeah, this went around about a year ago. Maybe we'll see some of these cars at the next Barrett Jackson:p Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 I'll take the barn after all you folks buy the goodies inside... Hey Brad..where you been hiding? Have you branched out in the restuarant business yet...I just can't wait till I get to Charleston for free meal..lol Quote
62rebelP23 Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 i'm a longtime fan of european cars, and most of those are pretty plain fare with some notable exceptions. the lack of information on American cars is sad; some were misnamed and others disparagingly referred to as "barges" when a great many of the european cars were no better and often worse. if i'm not wrong, i think the big maroon phaeton was a Chrysler. there were no others, though, if i'm correct. the pictures could have been better. i notice a low interest in British cars; a few bristols and lotus, a sprite? a hillman and some rovers. no E-types? mostly Italian econoboxes and French routiers. a LOT of Mercedes and BMW's; some dkw's... would like to talk to the guy who picked them, and get his reasons for particulars. maybe he was just grabbing up old cars without much of a plan? shoot; if i hit the lottery i'm going to do the same thing. Brad Lustig Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 I've been around. Getting out of real estate for a bit and almost bought a restaurant in my hometown of Aiken, SC. The owner decided at the last minute that they couldn't sell right now at the price they needed so they're going to keep it for at least another 5 years. Kind of glad it fell through because I wasn't quite ready to move. Spent a couple weeks away from my wife and son and it just about killed me. Quote
