....seriously tho the early 1955/56 "sculpted" Plymouth 241, 259, 270 and 277 were never available here in Oz, the 1st Mopar V8 used in Oz was the 303 Poly in the 1957 AP1 Chrysler Royal.........anyway back to my corner I go..........lol........andyd

The 277 is an A series engine, same as the 318P. It is not part of the Hemi based poly engine series (Dodge 241, 260, 270, 315, 325; and Chrysler 301, 331, 354). DeSoto never had a poly version of their Hemi; the 1957 KDS was a 325 Dodge engine. Chrysler never had a poly version of the 392.

His book ' The Complete Chrysler Hemi Manual' has lots of on early Hemi and Poly series motor info and build tips. A must have if you are messing with one of these old motors.

yep, got that Tex Smith/Ron Ceridono book.......but am curious about the Street Rodder magazine article.........andyd

The poly article is in the March 2015 issue of Street Rodder and is written by Ron Ceridono, about 2 printed pages long. No real new info that is not already in the Tex Smith book. It does, however mention the new 4 bbl intake and other parts for the poly.

Do a web search for PolySuperPac.com for info on those.

FYI..... The new issue of Chrysler Power magazine, Feb. '15, has several pages on the new Poly parts and their Poly powered project car.
