Do States Still Issue 'MD' License Plates?

I remember when doctors had 'MD' plates that would allow them to park in restricted areas to make house calls (at least in New York).  It dawned on me recently that I haven't seen an MD plate in a very long time.  Are they still used or are they obsolete?

I got issued a free armed forces tag due to being active military.,,,and that carries into my retirement also....it is a nice perk I think...I do not recall ever seeing one that denotes a MD...but we have tags here for educators...but those cost a goodly annual fee...

not counting the unlimited vanity tag Georgia offers 205 speciality tags..not sure if I get the new style plate this year or not..when I retied they let me keep my reserve tag...not sure if I get that option..may have to go the retired tag this time around...

I had to look into the Minnesota Dept of Motor Vehicles to see. I came up with 11 pages of results, the closest to MD was Ambalance attendant. This was an interesting exercise.
