dlrides Posted September 13, 2014 Report Posted September 13, 2014 Yesterday evening a local nursing home had a "cruise-in" for the residents, and it really touched the soul. I usually don't participate in things of this nature, as I consider an old car something to drive, use and enjoy, but I'll try to never miss this event in the future. Workers and volunteers assisted the residents around to view the cars and talk to the owners, most in wheelchairs and walkers. They shared stories of cars past in their life, with abundant smiles. Some day this will be many of us, with these old cars we love only a memory ............................... I didn't take many photos, but the remainder is here: http://dlrides.smugmug.com/Cars/Abernath-Laurels-Nursing-Home/44296938_6qwKTj#!i=3532100470&k=vSSZLdj 1 Quote

Don Coatney Posted September 13, 2014 Report Posted September 13, 2014 Good for you man! A great way to spend the evening! Evening? I am too old and too cheap to do the dinner and a movie thing. Matinee at senior prices. My wife and I had the entire theater to ourselves. Shades of Hope Springs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-s22_Mvikl8 Quote
