Merle Coggins Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 So, I'm driving the Ol' Dodge up to Appleton after work today, to the Girlfriend's house. The first leg of my trek to Todd's Luau. I decided to take the scenic route rather than fight rush hour traffic through the Fox Valley. While driving up the east side of Lake Winnebago, just south of the little town of Brothertown, I spotted this B1B in front of a little shop, The Plaid Squirrel. I turned around and went back for a closer look. I had a nice chat with the owner, Nancy. Quote
pflaming Posted August 23, 2014 Report Posted August 23, 2014 Let me review that, you are on our way to see your girl friend, you spot this truck, and find out it's owned by a different girl named Nancy. I got that straight, now did you then continiue on your way and if so, how did you explain your late arrival? Quote
ruff1148kr Posted August 23, 2014 Report Posted August 23, 2014 nice, great that you stopped and got some pics, they both look great Quote
Merle Coggins Posted August 23, 2014 Author Report Posted August 23, 2014 Lol. Yes, Paul. I continued on to Michelle's house. And I wasn't late. I pulled in right behind her as she had been out running errands. She liked the story, but teased me a little too about Nancy. Quote
48Dodger Posted August 24, 2014 Report Posted August 24, 2014 Good time to get Michelle a 48-53 Dodge truck.....lol. Might I suggest a Vintage-Mod with a pretty steering wheel and comfortable seats. 48D Quote
B1B Keven Posted August 24, 2014 Report Posted August 24, 2014 Love the chrome front bumper. Specs? Great story. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted August 24, 2014 Author Report Posted August 24, 2014 Good one Tim... Keven, it has all original drivetrain. I didn't look under the hood, but heard it run. It sounded good. We didn't get into any details. She said they just had it painted recently. I suppose the bright work was done then too. The inside of the cab wasn't painted, but was also white. She said that's next on the list, to finish the interior. The. Maybe do something with the drivetrain so they can cruise around better. Quote
pflaming Posted August 24, 2014 Report Posted August 24, 2014 Merle: a word to wise:three things attract chicks, scars, a good dog, and old trucks. Forewarned is forearmed. LOL Quote
Merle Coggins Posted August 24, 2014 Author Report Posted August 24, 2014 I have 2 out of 3, Paul. She has the dog. Quote
