MBFowler.....any of your gang?

and Young Ed...one for you.....

and one for me...

connect the dots....

I hated the 63 falcon vert that Dad had a few years back. The blue one looks nice but count me out if its got a 4spd.

That is where you and I differ...the four speed would be one of its most redeeming qualities...I would rather play fetch with a stuffed dog than have a vehicle with three on the tree.....lol

Tim those cars came with a dagenheim(sp?) 4speed. POS. You had to drive it like a grandpa or it would just fall apart. This is one case where I'd want an automatic.

not familar with that 4 speed Ed...will take your word on it for certain..I can only attest to the early Ford where the T10 and TL 4 speed were used behind the V8's...both my Tigers are early cars and have the short hyper-dermic shifters on them like the early Fairlane was famous for...not the later model with the longer curved shifter that was Mustang fame...I have repaired a number of these older shifter over the years with new reverse lock out cable installations

as for the automatic..I alos prefer to have that over a three on the tree for certain...

You got sumpin against the way grandpas drive

Nope but if I got a 4spd I wanna have a little fun. Shifting gently doesn't fit that. http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/classic-talk/297906-dagenham-transmission.html apparently they might share some parts with the T10 but are rated as extreme light duty.

Gee I would have thought the 4 speed over the auto tranny too.  Guess I was spoiled, the ONLY  4 speed I was fortunate to have was a Muncie Rock Crusher M-21 or 2 forget which.  Didnt hurt to have a sweet sounding 302 that ran past some of the rest of the pack,,,except for a buddy who had a 428 cold air ram Cobra jet.  Mine was a little underpowered to that one.  Still wish I could duplicate that carb sucking sound.

Guess what my OLD BEATER I drive for fun has in it.  Grandson says thats way too much work,,,least wise he wont 'borrow' it any time soon cause the younger crew has no idea how to really drive one.
