I was looking for someone to do my pot metal and found a guy in Tallahassee FL that returned some real nice parts to me. I have the Big "S" on the trunk of my 41 Stude redone and It looks great. I have the hawk tail lights and spears done also I am waiting for them. The company is called Pot metal restoration. The S was in horrible shape and now it looks new. My Plymouth will be next as the door handles on my car were not done well.

Rodney,

Paul's Chrome did mine. Damn Great work - at a real proud price.

They are litteraly the best. I would show you a picture of a Goose Neck Mirror I just had done

that the Tin Worms had Eaten Good but they made it new again. I would attach a picture, but I can't figure out how to attach pictures anymore

since they changed this site.

Under my stainless on side of front fender where it says Coronet gyromatic,,,is THAT pot metal???  Can one polish that ones self or is that chrome shop covered only?

I will second Sherms Plating.  First class work on pot metal.  It is all labor to make it right, and that is where the cost is.

I have my stainless grill at Paul's Chrome for my truck. The grill was ROUGH when I sent it, so we will have to see how it comes back in a few weeks. They do very impressive work from everything I've seen, but you do pay for it...

I used pauls on my barracuda tail lite  housings,  all tho they were not pitted to start with,,they looked great,,not all chrome shops can do pot metal and do it correctly or not lose it in the bath,,,what  i did like with pauls chrome,is they gave me a life time warranty for as long as I owned the car,,,the price was another story,,,,i wasnt  to  up set on the price til i talked to another guy with the same parts a year or so after I had mine re done,,, he got his done for 100 bucks less,,,   to give you and idea if you know what a 66 valiant/barracuda tail lite looks like not a very big housing,,,,pit free,,no damage,,,cost was 700 for the pair,,, can  you say PROUD,,,,,, whats in your wallet,,,,

Wow, I had heard that Paul's was kind of expensive, This guy came to my house and told me that the two spears, tail light housing would cost about 1,000 I sent those parts and a Studebaker "S" moulding for my trunk on the 41 and it cost me 688.00 handling included. The parts are out of this world. I think it's a dream. The only sour spot on my hawk was the tail light housing and spears. I just boxed up the front grill and some 66 Dodge charger tail light parts to have fixed and chromes. I still don't know how to put pic's on here so I can't send any pic's here.

Rodney, good to see you back as you haven't been on here much. Nice to hear there are still people who do nice work for an OK price. Putting pictures on is really no different than on the old forum. When you reply there is an icon for image. Click on that and then add the URL from photobucket or whatever you have and donezo!!

Plating is a labour intensive project......the more you put in the more you get out. Comes down to two things.....how perfect you want the job and how much can you afford.....
