woodjunky Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 Over the weekend I was checking my lug nuts for tightness and discovered that three of the five bolts on the passenger rear would not tighten up. Removed drum and discovered the bolt threads in the Drum are stripped out. Are there replacements drums available ? Brad Quote
52b3b Joe Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 I don't know of any replacement drums. I would try to use a helicoil or just take them to a small local machine shop for repair. Another option is to look for a used one. Quote
Young Ed Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 Sounds like its time to convert to studs. 1 Quote

desoto1939 Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 questiion did you left rear drum have left hand threaded bolts and did you recently have someone work on the rear brakes. They might have thought that you have left hand bolts onthe right and then stripped them and did not tell you. Just a thought as to what might have happened. Rich Hartung Quote
