WatchingWolf Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 Spring has come to Wisconsin, I can tell because the rams heads are blooming through the snow! Quote
WatchingWolf Posted March 24, 2013 Author Report Posted March 24, 2013 I found the Wayfarer this afternoon! It has been a long winter indeed! Quote
Merle Coggins Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 Cool pics from the northwoods. I figure Winter has done some work to get into shape during the "off season" since she petered out so early last year. This year she's had a lot more stamina. Merle Quote
chopt50wgn Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 Here in Pa that dumbass groundhog predicted an early spring. We are supposed to get snow on Sun nite into Mon here..............they indicted the groundhog and sentenced him to death. Quote
frankieflathead Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 Spring has come to Wisconsin, I can tell because the rams heads are blooming through the snow! HA! Thanx, Wolfster. I don't feel quite so bad now about the five inches still sitting in my yard here in southern Vermont. Quote
1940plymouth Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 We have a good five inches of snow on the ground here in the Western Catskills, plus a possible 2-4 inches Monday, Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 People who indicted Phil are not so smart themselves,,,Phil is never wrong...regardless of the call for spring or winter weather..it is always 6 week from Feb 2 till spring..anyone with a few seasons under their belt know that spring weather is not anywhere near predictable and will await Easter...as Easter is early this year..maybe poor Phil will have some sort of defense in court... TodFitch Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 Just leaving Tucson, at the airport now. But there were nice, if subtle displays of wildflowers in the foothills on the north side. Lupine, indian paint brush, desert/California poppies, etc. Those are pretty transitory in the desert so it was nice to see them. It was also in the low to mid 80s during my stay here, so spring is/was here too. Soon it will be summer and start getting warm. Quote

Plymouthy Adams Posted March 25, 2013 Report Posted March 25, 2013 I assure you, groundhog stew would be nothing but a massive fat burger...normally folks tend to select between 93-97% lean beef..well groundhog is 93-97% fat, 3-7% lean...I know this from experience as a very young lad out hunting one day..
