judsonhauling Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 Anyone have any LH Thread studs they would like to part with? I need atleast two. If not, anyone replaced all your studs and if so with what? I took one up to my local parts store and while close, nothing is perfect. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 (edited) am assuming you have a truck..year and model size may play a part in choice..did you mic the old one and match it through the Dorman chart or just take it that the local did not stock it so therefore not available.. I assay the above not to be rude but to share the fact that the locals are not willing on the average to go the extra mile to help.......I was in a similar situation last year and while they did try to look it up and let me look in the box..they did not pull the Dorman book. So I did mic my old one and found the Dorman replacement on the chart online and armed with the number ..they were available on an overnight at no extra cost through my local.. B1B Keven Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 Studs or bolts? I replaced my bolts with 1/2" right and left hand threaded standard MoPar studs. Actually, NAPA did the work. Quote
Dave72dt Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 If you can't come up with LH studs but can find RH for your app, replace them all with RH. Won't be as it was when original but will work. Don't mix and match on the same hub. It'll drive you bonkers later wondering which way to go to get them off. Quote
pflaming Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 How many do you want? Send me a PM. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 this chart is very useful...you can first check by application then click on the part number and get the actual physical dimensions....was very helpful to me as the application of the axle I had did not match the studs in use and I was changing from LH to RH just because I wanted to...big big help...the micrometer does not lie... http://www.dormanproducts.com/c-778-wheel-studs.aspx Quote
