Am I correct in thinking that this '41 Plymouth has a P15 steering wheel and instrument cluster? It will be a project for the truly dedicated restorer.

Yes, you are correct on both................and yes you would have to really want a '41 Plymouth convertible to do that one. However, "to every pot there is a lid" as the saying goes, and someone will likely pick it up as a project.

It certainly needs a lot of work but I don't believe it to be beyond saving. I bet Dads 51 conv was rustier than that one at its worst.

Wow Ed, It's had to believe that that beautiful '51 that you father has was in that shape like this '41. I guess that if someone is willing to invest the time and effort (and money), it can happen.

Tim, that is well said for sure.

Here it is just as the restoration was getting started. Lots of rust in the rockers and what you can't see is that the 1/4s and trunk had actually sank backwards enough that the doors would no longer latch.

Wellll........when I tried to send a P M to Young Ed, it said he could not receive messages.   Is there some secret to

sending  P Ms?

Bob..seems a lot of folks accounts picked up a good number of PM's on the the transfer...he will have to purge his account...I suggest everyone look at their message box for this condition..

Tim is right I had about 300 messages when only 125 are allowed. Strangely though it let me and Fred PM last night. Working on deleting them now.

I really enjoy seeing these old gems brought back to life. They are becoming more rare every year. I remember back in the middle '50's, a woman had a '40 Plymouth convertible in her yard that was pretty much in the shape that this '41 is (probably not rotted as badly but really neglected). The top fabric had been missing for years. That car probably could have been had at no charge; just to haul it away.
