james curl Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Got this e-mail from Charlie yesterday. "Hey, I just arranged for your kit to ship tomorrow. I apologize for the delay. I had taken it to work with me planning to ship from my office. However, on the way to work I was in a pretty serious accident. A Ford Excursion T-boned me in my Neon on the drivers side door. I survived with only some bruising and a headache, but the Neon was totalled, and the guy ran from the scene, left me on the side of the road, dead for all he knew. Let me know how the kit works for you, and keep me posted on your progress with your car." Good to know he was not seriously injured, hope the Police find the person who ran and left him injured. Dennis Hemingway Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Olddaddy, Great to here that you were not seriously injured. Hope they find that sucker and hang him high. Dennis Quote
PatS.... Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Charlie, glad to hear that you came through that relatively OK. I'm sure you feel like you went 10 with Tyson, but Excursion/Neon coulda been alot worse Take a few days to mend and recover and visit us here while you do Pat Quote
Don Coatney Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Charlie; Hope the recovery is quick and invite us to the hanging. Quote
greg g Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Glad you survived intact. Hope the other guy gets hi just reward. Quote
55 Fargo Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Sorry to here of your car accident Charlie, best wishes on a speedy recovery. I owned a Neon for many years, always wondered if those door impact supports would work in an unfortunate situation as yours. I sure hope the scumbag that left you like this is caught and prosecuted, just this past weekend where I live 2 guys in a stolen car T-boned a lady on her way to work in the early hours, she died at the scene, these 2 dirtbags had minor injuries, they are locked-up, but the womans family lost her. At least you walked out of this one..Fred Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Hope you're feeling better now Charlie. Usually when someone hits and runs like that they either don't have insurance, drivers license, or they are drunk and don't want to get caught driving by the police. Hopefully someone saw the accident and got his license plate number. If so, they should hang the person upside down by his ______! We see the same thing here from time to time. Quote

eric wissing Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Don, You really have your family's history well documented. Did this all take place in Tenn. ? Eric Quote
Don Coatney Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Eric; I have only lived in Tennessee for the last 7 years. My birthplace is in Indiana and most of my family lived there sence before the civil war. I have a huge collection of old family communication. I have learned a lot about my family and there personalities by reading this old communication. And I have discovered a lot of cousins because of this collection. As an example I made contact with a grandson of Robert Lincoln Brown and he had never seen a picture of his grandfather. I sent him the picture with his head in a noose and he was elated. He knew all about the story but had never seen the picture. Quote
