Who Restores Desoto Cloisonne Emblems

It seems to me that there was somebody who restored emblems like my Desoto Cloisonne Hood and deck emblems. The gold is what really need to be done over. The iset red is plastic from what I can tell.

Have you looked in the pages (or online) of Hemmings Motor News??

They would be the most likely place to begin looking.. Or, call a

high end classic car restoration shop to ask who does such a

thing for them.

Someone on this forum restored their own emblems sometime back. I remember seeing it in a thread, don't remember the thread or who it was. I remember they discussed reapplying the gold. It may have been for a Plym or Dodge though. Maybe someone will recall who it was.

I figured DeSoto - I was just wondering if we could pin point a year.

My good neighbor across the street knows I'm in to Mopar and gave it to me. I would like to find a good home for it. I was thinking of getting a DeSoto to go with the emblem but apparently my wife said I have enough cars. Silly woman - you can never have enough cars.

It is a 1946-8 DeSoto hood badge but it appears there are a couple different styles of those hood badges used for 1946-8 DeSotos. Must be a up to serial # thing?

I looked on the back and there are no numbers.
