MarkAubuchon Posted November 21, 2012 Report Posted November 21, 2012 Will a T5 Transmission work in a 1/2 ton pickup. I have disc brakes on the front, 8 3/4 rear end, so I started thinking why not go all the way and put a new style transmission in? What do you think? Quote
Young Ed Posted November 21, 2012 Report Posted November 21, 2012 Yup check this out http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=19419 Haven't gotten the truck built yet but the 5spd is hooked up to the engine. With a drill press and a set of transfer punches you can modify the bellhousing yourself. Quote

Dave72dt Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 The correct speedo gears will depend on the rear gear ratio as well as the tire height. Without those numbers factored in, your speedo could be far from accurate. Welcome to the forum. Post away on your installation. Whatever you run across will be good info for someone else. Quote
