BobT-47P15 Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 Still cheap bids....so far. Located in Colo Springs. Link to the ad: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1951-Plymouth-Wagon-two-door-rat-rod-hot-rod-51-cruiser_W0QQitemZ180112097989QQihZ008QQcategoryZ6387QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 Too bad that's so far away. Would make a nice custom Sedan Delivery by simply blocking out the rear windows and removing the rear seats and reworking the floor from the front seat to the hatch. Quote
Guest DeadBodyGuy Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 That old bird is HOT!!!!! I like it.... DBG Quote
rearview Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 If that was a driver i'd be all over it. I'm passing right through that area this weekend on the way to Moab, UT Quote
Guest 50Plymouth Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 Interesting "custom" instrument cluster, can't tell how well it fits dash. Neat body. Quote
Normspeed Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 I don't know, those 2 door wagons look kinda funny... Can someone tell me, what is the purpose for those patchy, striped or dotted 2-tone primer jobs? Is there really any practical reason to do that? I see it a lot. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 I looked at that also..my only answer to myself is that it is what is remaining of a glide coat when wet sanding... Quote

That's what I was thinking... I stumbled across a set of 14's that won't fit over my discs Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted May 2, 2007 Author Report Posted May 2, 2007 Personally I'm not too fond of using a chunk of wood that matches nothing else in the car. Probably the easiest thing to cut to fit, but...... He did have the foresight to install a hi beam indicator and turn signal indicator lights. Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 Looks like he was going for a low buck ride with that dash panel. With that in mind, wonder what other corners were cut to keep the cost down. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted May 2, 2007 Author Report Posted May 2, 2007 Just a bit of wax and you'll be on the road again. It could look just like this...... Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 Actually Bob, that 53 is one of the better looking non restored verts I've seen. Looks straight at least. Would be a good one for someone with a little energy to rebuild. Quote
Young Ed Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Bob that 54 looks like a reasonable project to me. The 52 is nice too. Still thinking I'm going to switch my coupe to a light yellow like that. Quote
jd52cranbrook Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 Wish I was closer, and hadn't already spent 10 mil on the General Lee,,,, I think that would a good project car. I talked to guy a living a hour away who was going to go see it for me. But then the General Lee went up for bid and I could not pass it up..... Quote
