Front end sports a dodge grille, rear end looks more cadillac-ish.

Guess you gotta pull some sheet metal if you blow a front tire.

Fabulous form!

That has to be famous creature.

Hopefully there is known history and record does it exist still...

Would be nice to see more of this one.

The blown tire will probably remove the sheetmetal for you
Wow, nice custom work! I wonder if it's sitting in someone's garage waiting to be rediscovered?

Interesting but it doesn't do much for me. Looks like an oversized bumper car!
Looks like it was made from an old Buick.

1948 Mercury saturn......None other than Bob Hope used to drive that car......the dodge grill looks pretty good!

I was going to say Buick. By chance I just saw an early Buick today and noted the way the fenders went out from the body. So my guess would be Buick as well. :D

No - This is not the Bob Hope special. Compare pictures. The one which started this thread has Dodge windshield and side windows, and full skirted fenders all over. The only similarity to Bob Hope special is the D24 grille (and long hood) The Bob Hope car is two seater roadster with odd continental style rear end. This one is four seat tourer with raised side windows (with frames as Dodge convertibles have).

No worries Frankie (I did not meant to crack vise)...

...but Neil was right, it is a Buick. Rik Hoving found this source: (@ H.A.M.B.)

I knew this thing wasn't solely mopar. Gotta learn to trust my instincts more. I know buicks and Caddy's shared sheet metal even back then, so I wasn't to far off from my guess.
