Plymouthy Adams Posted November 9, 2011 Report Posted November 9, 2011 This morning and tomorrow I have class..the class is 2 hours later than my normal start time..we also in this neck of the woods do not get early frosts, the main trigger for radiant colors..but today driving in to work during sunrise I got a glimpse of a very pretty most colorful skyline bordering all the massive peanut and cotton fields..almost a flash back to my growing up in the hills..I love this time of year... tonight is baking night in prep for upcoming company from out of town..mums is baking two pumpkin rolls and I have already fixed two batches of sausage balls and will finish up with two raisin pies...the smells from the kitchen are most delightful. randroid Posted November 9, 2011 Report Posted November 9, 2011 Tim, This is an interesting time of the year for me in that the cold weather is coming more than going and within a few weeks will be here to stay so I need to go through my annual ritual of recognizing what I must put down for the Summer and trying to remember what I did last Winter on frozen days. Pigiron is wearing her tarp like an old lady wears a shawl, which is only fitting because that's what she is, and two days ago I baked my first loaf of bread in six months. Today is my birthday so Lynn handed me the card and asked if I'd still like to order a Speed Blaster and it took less than two minutes to get that chore handled, so next Spring all the window garnish should be painted, along with the back of the dashboard. I'm still agonizing over colors. I guess I'll never quite grasp the concept of being bored. -Randy Quote
Niel Hoback Posted November 9, 2011 Report Posted November 9, 2011 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Randy. Party tonight! Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted November 9, 2011 Author Report Posted November 9, 2011 Happy B-day big guy..enjoy the speedi-blaster...chosing color can be quite a job..usually by they time you get ankel deep the nature of the beat reveils itself and the color is pretty much set..but I have one here that has fought me on the secondary color..I think it has spoken its final workds to me..so yeah...can be rough getting it in your mind just what you want. Don Coatney Posted November 10, 2011 Report Posted November 10, 2011 So Randy; Are you now a colorful old fart? Like many of us on this forum... What kind of cake did your bride make for you? Quote
randroid Posted November 10, 2011 Report Posted November 10, 2011 Gents, I went with white for the S-B because if I tried to decide on another color it won't get ordered. Just got an email from them saying it's already been shipped. Now to learn about blasting with different media... Thanks for the B-D wishes. Got more than I expected but I never expected to see 65 so it's been a good one. Does 65 make me colorful? I watched a two-hour special on Woodstock and knew the words to all the songs so I guess there's been some color in their somewhere, or at least patterns, lol. No cake because I eat very little of it but Lynn woke me up this morning with coffee and a cherry-slathered chunk of cheese cake. Inhaled it and went back to sleep when she left for work without ever rumpling the covers. -Randy Quote
Johnny S Posted November 10, 2011 Report Posted November 10, 2011 Hey Randy .... Happy Birthday from the "north" .... hope Pigiron's garage stays secure with the winter coming on. Did you take any hits from the "fall" of tree branches in the area last couple snows? Quote
