There are not that many 53 dodge trucks out there. I have a Canadian model which is even more rare. I have started to restore the truck this year and am adding a few modifications for comfort. Here is a pic. Keep up the good work. Hoping that this might help inspire you.

Wow your getting alot more indepth than me.

I got my starter fixed, oil pan clean up, lifter galley cleaned and then burnt my eye brows off lighting the wood stove and decided to call it a nite.

old secret to lighting a fire in the stove..most know this but sometimes it is overlooked..one should roll up some newspaper, light the end and then stick it as far back and as close to the flue/pipe as possible..this heating of the air here will cause rise and create a natural draft that will accelerate the flames in the firebox..

Yep, which works great, until a bird builds a nest in you chimney! Then the fire comes out the door when you open it LOL

I picked up two new side cover gaskets on the way to work and my oil filters. I also ordered a new fuel pump as I'm sure mine is rotten.

Which way does the sock type filter install?

See my before and after pics.

Awesome, our trucks are twins! What is that green? I was thinking of doing the rustoleum Hunter green and black bed with mine. My wheels are the sun yellow as well.
