What do you guys use for your outside mirrors? I have a 41 Special Delux. I already have those small tiny round ones on the car, but I would like to have something a little bigger. Also isnt there a better way to attach them to the door rather than with those little allen screws? Pictures would be nice.

Thanks

often you can find a decent set of swan neck mirrors in a set on E-bay.,,not long back they had these for a buy it now of 26.00 or there about..just about impossible to go wrong..the folks here that bought them were quite happy with the quality and quick deliverly..

I have seen mostly the ones that clamp onto the door/doors. MOPAR had a mirror that was part of the little cowl trim piece, They are available but rare ad expensive, and you can't see the pass side one fromt he drivers position.

If you're not a real stickler for "originality" you can probably find a

newer type mirror like this one.

Screws onto the door.

Mine is used, bought at a swap met

The trick is to make sure the shaft part is long enough so you can see

around the bulge in the side of the car towards the rear.

Thanks guys. I kind of like the one that BobT has on his ride. While I know that you have to drill a little hold in the sheet metal, I think that it makes it look like it came with the car rather than having something that was added to it.

Hi Carmen,

I use So-Cal Speed Shop swan-necks on my convertible.

Yes, you've gotta drill the doors, but they are solid, so don't shake like the clip-ons.

I have a 4" convex mirror stuck on the passenger side, to provide a wider viewing angle.

Thoroughly recommend this set-up.

Now I like that one too. I don't mind drilling into the doors. As you said they are solid. The clip-on ones after a little while they become lose.
