mtpturbo Posted March 15, 2012 Report Posted March 15, 2012 Way cool. Like the exhaust dumps. what is your front clip? Chassis Engineering Mustang II. Had a '78 Camaro front stub in it for years, but the track width was so wide the car never looked quite right.. Quote
mrwrstory Posted March 15, 2012 Report Posted March 15, 2012 Chassis Engineering Mustang II. Was the Chassis Engrg clip specifically for the Plymouth or did you have to figger how to patch it in and determine mounts for the core support, splash panels and fenders? Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 mtpturbo..........are you from Kansas City? Is that the car you brought to the HAMB drags two or three years ago? Quote

JerseyHarold Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 Yes, folks, both the car and I actually do exist. My wife took this picture today. We've been doing spring cleaning in the garage and now you can walk almost entirely around the car (big improvement!). One of these days, it will be chugging down the road again. Quote
moparbenny Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 This is my 1947 D-24 town sedan. nice my dad had a 46 when i was growing up use to play in it. Quote

mtpturbo Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 Was the Chassis Engrg clip specifically for the Plymouth or did you have to figger how to patch it in and determine mounts for the core support, splash panels and fenders? Sorry for the slow reply. I had to mate it to the stock frame. It actually wasn't too difficult. Quote
mtpturbo Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 mtpturbo..........are you from Kansas City?Is that the car you brought to the HAMB drags two or three years ago? Yes, I am from the KC area and it is the same car but I have redone pretty much everything except the paint/body (that is next on the list) since it was last at the HAMB drags. Maybe I'll get a chance to bring it back down this year.. Quote
Robert Smith Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 (edited) Here's a photo of my first car I recently sold: '46 P-15 Special Deluxe four door, original Chevron Blue. Here's the '40 Dodge when I first looked at it in Tucson AZ: I posted this already but, figured I'd share it here too. No where near finished but, looking much better since I acquired it. She photographs well. Everyone has such neat photos of their cars... In a variety of condition and to one's personal tastes... I am impressed to see the condition of some of them when first acquired... Lots of work and my, how no one would ever know it ever was found in less than "concourse condition"! 40P10touring sedan Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 Well, I should toss some pics of my old gal up, so here we go- ...here's what I need to fit in/on the car yet! Quote
Booker T Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 Well, after looking through everyone elses pictures I was reluctant to post mine. What a great bunch of cars!!! Anyway, here goes...couple from the first day...which I think was about 4 years ago, if I recall correctly. Quote
Booker T Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 And here are a couple after some upgrades. Haven't done much cosmetically (paint) and don't have any immediate plans to. This was about 2 years into ownership and I rebuilt the motor, split exhaust, dual intake, HEI, disc brakes, T5 swap and 12v conversion... Quote
Booker T Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 And here are a few from last week after adding some scallops and putting some leaf springs back in the rear end to improve the ride for the 3 hour drive to the Lone Star Roundup... Quote
flatheadtim Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 $1500.00 project. Have all glass and trim. Off and running. have car running, removed interior welded in floor pan panels. Waiting for sand blast. Quote
RobertKB Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 I posted early on in this thread. Since then I have added one more to the stable but it will be a while before it sees the road. I realistically see it as a 5-7 year project. Got others I can drive so no rush on this one but it should be fun when finished. $1500.00 got it in my driveway and who knows what future expenses will be but hey, it is the "restoration journey" that counts and that is priceless in my book. I will get it in the garage before winter and start the process. Quote
yourpc48 Posted April 20, 2012 Report Posted April 20, 2012 Nice car. And if I havent said so yet.... Welcome to the forum. Quote
Ryan Robbins Posted April 21, 2012 Report Posted April 21, 2012 Here's a couple of mine. 47 Business Coupe Quote
Uncle-Pekka Posted April 21, 2012 Report Posted April 21, 2012 Well, after looking through everyone elses pictures I was reluctant to post mine. What a great bunch of cars!!! I'm glad you did not shy out - I really like the cool style of your Savoy. I agree with you no need to over spray the genuine patina. The scallops make the top of the cherry - Very stylish! Also looks like you are having fun with the car. All the right hop up ingredients added. You may be a soul mate with our Capt.Fred of Berlin. Last but not least: Seems that one stunning beautiful lady has lurked in you garage to catch attention on the last picture... Lucky bastard you? Quote
