Where is Lee "roadkillontheweb" Exline when you need him. I used to work with a guy who always carried a butcher knife in his car. When he happened on a hunk of road kill he would stop and see if there was any body heat present. He used this body heat as a freshness indicator. If it was warm he commenced hacking away at the prime cuts.
