Drdialtone Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 In celebration I drove the Plymouth to work today...had hoped to see other cars on the road, however it was just a sea of Japanese characterless (sorry!) cars... 8-< Quote
P-12 Tommy Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 Thanks for posting! Great looking Plymouth! What do you do at Apple if you don't mind me asking? Tom Quote
Dan Hiebert Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 Ooh-rah! I drove the Dodge in to work today, too. Tho there aren't many cars on the road when I head to work, I see the same lack of distinctive cars. Western New York is rife with collector cars that tend to get driven (tho most are 60-70s muscle types), so the trip home may prove to be more interesting. Anyone else observe Collector Car Appreciation day with a spin, either to work, or otherwise? Paddock Chevrolet in Kenmore (a Buffalo suburb) is having a free collector car show in honor of today, too. They'll have the whole street shut down in front of their dealership. Quote

Young Ed Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 I'm a little gunshy about driving to work but I'm planning to take in a cruise tonight. Quote

I manage Global Conferencing Services for Apple. Video, audio, web collaboration and the broadcast network. Formerly the "phone guy" but two years a go jumped into this role with video conferencing. Very cool stuff! Quote

Dan, Nice that you have a participating dealer to help encourage the day!! I don't know of anything anywhere like that in the SF Bay area... Quote
Mark D Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 Can't do business without the phone guys! Sweet looking car by the way. My next will be a coupe. I manage Real Estate for a fortune 100 out here in Mass and we just invested fully in Tandberg V/C. Marvelous stuff for sure, prevents me from having to do weekly east coast < -> west coast plane trips! Quote

Our US design center is located just down the road at 20400 Stevens Creek Blvd. Right at the corner of Stevens Creek and De Anza. Will be out there in a couple of weeks as a matter of fact. Only this time we are having our meetings at the hotel over near Saratoga and 280. By the way with all the starter issues I am having with the new 230, I'm not appreciating my collector car too very much right at the moment. Quote

I love the V/C and being able to have face-to-face meetings without leaving my desk, and doing that around the globe - amazingly better than the old PictureTel days!! My coupe is affectionately named "Phyllis"... after the femme fatale in the movie Double Indemnity. Played by Barbara Stanwyck, with curvy hips. Love that car!! Hope you get YOUR coupe soon! Quote
