greg g Posted June 14, 2011 Report Posted June 14, 2011 The stomp to dim switches get corroded contacts pretty easily. Stomp it through a coupe dozen times and see if it works. Also 6v (yes your car is positive ground) systems rely an good clean grounds. Most problems with 6V systems are poor grounds and too small wires. Your battery cables should be 0 or 00 gauge for proper functioning. Yea, thick as your little finger!!! The wimpy stuff for 12v don't cut it. Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted June 14, 2011 Report Posted June 14, 2011 Me too. Didn't know how tight the lid on the canister had to be so I didn't tighten it enough. What a mess. Quote
Young Ed Posted June 14, 2011 Report Posted June 14, 2011 Only once so far. The Austin MN Target had an extra dark parking space in their parking lot for at least a year. I commandeered the wife's car to go back home for more oil. She was working for Target back then. I left a puddle across the street from my Dads house the first time and the second a trail for about 3 blocks on my way home from the grocery store. Quote
woodie49 Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 We won't ask how you know this... Right after cleaning up my engine bay. Not the first time I changed the filter, but apparently I am getting weaker as I get older. Really surprising how fast this thing can gush. I thought the filter did not have constant flow, but this started as soon as I fired it up, idling in the garage. Quote
