Tim we had approx eight inches of rain up here last month, so far this month about half an inch of rain. There seems to be no rhymn or reason, but hopefully Georgia will get the necessary rain and we will dry up somewhat

Big storm here. Wind strong enough to topple a dead tree between my and my neighbors driveway. Enough rain to fill the bird bath that is parked under a tree. I think it was enough rain to polish the shells of the local armadillos:rolleyes:

The weather people told us last fall the drought was over. We are more than 13" in arrears as of the first of June with no reprieve in sight. Already consecutive days over 100 degrees, usually is late August or early September before weather like that. We have had three days of 103 this month but not in a row.

sad to say the little we got last ningt may be even to little togreen the grass up at all..but if it will keep it from going to dust...that will be good..guess it is time for a bon-fire and throw on a few roadkill possum and armadillos to apease the rain gods..

Last few days we've been nearing 100 degrees here in Alexandria. They've never seen temps like this so early in the season. It's only the first week of June and everything is brown. Went out to fetch my emergency brake cable out of the garage yesterday afternoon and came back soaking wet.

I rode my motorcycle to work yesterday and got caught in a down pour on the way home. I needed a shower anyway and the bike could stand to be washed. We had a very wet spring, had a hard time getting the garden plowed. The lakes full now but I think we're down to the to the afternoon thundershower. It's been mid 90's all week, guess spring is over:(.

All we have had in southern Alberta, Canada (prairies) is rain, rain, rain, and more rain. I did not realize we were living in a coastal rainforest.:P Did I say rain? I am sick of f****** rain. A lot of farmers still don't have their crops in as the ground is beyond saturation. Tim, maybe we can arrange with the weather gods to do a partial exchange.

if you in tight with the weather gods I will throw in lots of dry heat, about 4 armadillos, 6 possums, small wild boar, sozen gray squirrels and a couple cane break rattlers...(these rattlers are pink and chocolate..) send me about 6-8 inches of slow steady rain...need a soaker, not a runoff..

farmers down here are draining every third watermelon back into the field just to save the crop..

The thunder woke me up around 1AM this morning. I opened the back door to once again find rain. Not sure how much but my deck was still wet at 7AM. If this keeps up I may have to cut my grass.

Over the weekend we had some very severe-looking thunderstorms roll in from the west. Lot's of dark skies and distant lightning but not a drop of rain. Three days in a row that's happened. Looks like it's late August, as brown as everything is.
