- Sand blasted 6 rims which I painted with primer. Eventually they will go back to the painter to be painted the same color as the car.

- For the front window on the passenger side, I fabricated springs from a reasonable facsimile I found in Home Depot. I used a .091 x 2 3/4" - Steel / Zinc Plated Cotter Safety pin reformed to engineering intent. Worked great with just the right tension. !!!

- Installed the front passenger glass and the rear passenger glass.

- Installed new weather seal and window slide channels.

- Installed the weather seal on all four doors.

- All the glass is in now installed except for the vent windows and they will go in once all the interior door panels are installed.

Getting closer and closer, Chet...

I love your progress Chet, but I love your thought process even more.....front seat last. I can just picture you at the end of things sitting on your bench seat on the garage floor checking and rechecking your list to see if it really is time to install the seat!:)

Ed & Frankie,

I know myself. Once the front seat is in then I'm driving. The only way I can keep focused on the details is keeping the front seat for last.

I helped a friend refinish his basement. I told him to finish the sheetrock in the closet before he paneled the walls else he would never finish the inside of the closet. Long story made short. He put up the wood paneling and ended up selling the house many years hence and never finished the inside of the closet. I rest my case.
