Mike, Alot of pictures of old cars on the Internet have fog lamps. The choice is up to you, of course. I myself like them. I just bought a nice set on E-bay, just waiting for brackets. What model do you have?

I have a nos set of 6 inch Dietz fog lamps......still in the box after

many years......just seems the front looks cleaner and you see

the grille better without them.

There is a picture of mine with fogs in the gallery on the main page of this site.

I have added bumper guards since this pic was taken.

It probably took 4 or 5 clicks to do it the way I do.

Is that too many????????

**I personally know your car is a Deluxe, Greg.

It's rather amazing how many folks call the Special Deluxe

by the Ford moniker of Super Deluxe. Hard to educate 'em.

Jim I know you haven't had a chance to drive much yet but do you or Greg find them to be useful at all in bad weather? I've been caught in a few nasty rains with the plymouth during tours and wondered if some additional lights up front might have helped.

Ed,

With a body made of wood I try my best to avoid driving in bad weather so I really can't answer your question. More for show than anything else.

They work OK in light fog and mist, the deal with fog is you want a low reflected light (supposidly why they are yellow lenses) and you want to keep the light low and aimed down. I have mine so they shine about 30 to 40 feet out, and are aimed at the center line and shoulder, under the aim of the headlamps. These days I find any more light always a good thing.

Plus NY has a lights on in the rain law, so I usually flip on the fogs rather than the headlamps.

I usually use them at Dusk and into early dark, to be seen rather more than to help me see. Plus mine came from my father's miss spent youth. He say he had them on his 37 Chevy.
