Sunday, I went to the big Glendale City College Swap & Sell Meet. I met this gentleman, Steve, who is selling this nice Dodge Coupe. It has a V-8 engine and that is all I know. His number is 623-866-6775. I do not know him and have no interest or any involvement in this car for sale. The paint is in need of being redone. He has reduced the asking price from $10,500 to $9,500.

I don't believe that is a 49. Sheetmetal, grill and bumpers are wrong. Unless the first series for 49 was an exact copy of the 48.

At least for plymouth the first 1/2 of 49 mopar was still producing the 46-48 versions.

Yes, that is what the owner said about this car being a "first series 1949", very much like a few P15 bodied 1949 Plymouths I have seen. His AZ registration is for the year 1949.

OK.......I thought Plymouth was the only one with the "early 49".

Now Dodge.

How about Chrysler and DeSoto.....did they do that too???

Nice does that have a rear seat??? I really think the only other old car I will ever buy again will be like the one you attached. I love the coupes-Jon

I believe I used to own that car! It belonged to a woman named Fanchen Winsler who bought it from Roy Brooke Motor Co. new. I sold it to a guy from Bakersfield named Bowersock back about 1995 who sold it to someone in Arizona. If that is my old car I had overhauled the D-24 powerplant back in the 70's. It actualy is a '48 but some early 49's were still that body style called a club coupe.
