REDNIC79 Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 my engine is ready to go....sweet yeah i know the colors are not factory... but it's my motor and that's how i wanted it, hehe Thanks to everyone who helped me, great info on the forum. Quote
Dave72dt Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Nice attention to detail. Like you said, colors are all wrong but I think it looks good anyway. Asfor your truck, some polishing compound and elbow grease will bring that paint back nicely. Quote
Dan Babb Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 The black looks great and you don't have to worry about keeping it clean. Quote
Scruffy49 Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 That looks really good. I'm probably going to do my 230 in Chrysler Industrial Red so it will match the LA318 in my 69 D100. My current 218 is old Ford Engine Dark Blue (352FE era), looks great but the engine is bad... My truck is for fun so I'm not worried about stone stock factory correct. Quote
dontknowitall Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Love it mate...eye for detail:cool: Quote
Alshere59 Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 (edited) Nice engine I assume the blue is your trucks color. You may want to reroute the fuel line. That rubber hose and plastic(?) fuel filter will melt if it is as close as it looks. Also you may get some vapor lock issues. Edited April 24, 2011 by Alshere59 Quote
REDNIC79 Posted April 24, 2011 Author Report Posted April 24, 2011 (edited) thanks, yeah i suppose the filter is a bit close to the manifold.... i may have to re-think that one. it did run fine like that last year, but i hear ya yeah i know the filter is plastic........i want to hard pipe in a metal one no it doesn't run.....hehe putting it in this weekend the blue looks really bright in the pictures, it's not in real life. more of a sky blue my truck is rusty blue so... I still have to fix my temp gauge (line broken off) I'm going to try to put a new bulb on it. Edited April 24, 2011 by REDNIC79 Quote
