I certainly won't be able to attend but I have a friend just outside St. Johnsbury who's been ribbing me good naturedly about Pigiron for more than a few years even though he has no idea what it's like. I think I'll send him over for a look-see.

I looked up the mileage from where I am (MA) and it is 198 miles one way. It sounds like a fun time. Can you attend if you are not a WPC member?

Well I'm not a member. But I'm gonna go. Even if I don't enter the show there will be things to do and folks to see. Plus we gotta break the folks in on the tailgate party.

Like to see you and any other of the NE guys that can make it. Hopefully we will figure an itenerary and meet somewhere along the way. Probaly come up through the Albany of Lake George area. Pobably need to stop by the Hemmings place coming or going.

Gents - I'm planning on it. John, Im not a member either. by the way where do you live in Mass? I'm in central Mass (Bolton). I think that the Hemmings show is going on up there about the same time.

I live in Cohasset, MA which is south of Boston. We often go to pick apples in Bolton in the fall. Great country up there.

John, You'll have to bring the car up next fall and take home a few bushels. The towns only four miles square, we're not too far from any of the orchards.

I sure would like to but at just over 1600 miles it's just a bit too far for me.

I actually talked to the president of the WPC club last week about setting up a region here in Kansas. It seems strange to me that Walter P. Chrysler's home state isn't represented by the WPC club?! He tells me that all I need is to get 9 other people to sign a petition and we can have our own region. There is a big following for MOPARs around here so Ithink I can do this. I would love to see the national meet come to Ellis (Chryslers hometown) some day.

Anyone that's gone to one of the national events in the past, can you tell me about what kind of turn-out they get? It looks like St. Johnsbury, Vermont is about three time the size of Ellis but, Hays (which is only 13 miles from Ellis) is over 20,000 people so maybe it could still work. Have the show in Hays and having a cruise to Chrysler's home and museum in Ellis could be a lot of fun. I'm just dreaming about the future and researching so I could maybe pitch the idea to the WPC club.

I'm still in! Made my room reservations, joined WPC, for the magazine. Won't really know when I am going to leave the St. Louis area. Want to plan a stop at the World Headquarers for AOK Racing (George Asche). Greg I will call later to talk more specific logistic. I do want to hook up with you for the drive up to Vermont.

If you and and any other folks traveling from western NY / Canada need to a stay over night here is cool, or what ever works. The trip across US 20 or NY 5 is a decent drive if you don't want to bore yourself on the Thruway.

To me, one of the nicest views in NYS is along Rt 20 going thru Cherry Valley.

When we lived in Madison County and I wasn't retired, made many work related trips to Albany via Rt 20

Sounds like we are getting some traction on the Road Trip to Vermont. Spoke with Greg yesterday, good to catch up and start making plans. In looking at the WPC information, this show looks to be much more laid bad than the POC National meets. So with that said, once we get here we do what we want or go with the group. Greg remeber thats how we went on our private tour of Richard Petty Motorsports a few years ago, jsut showed up. One tradition we started is for the official Friday Night Tail Gate Party, is that we have foods local to each guest area (yes Beer is food). Greg can share more details.
